Bao is a collection of 3,888 randomly generated 3D model artworks generated on the Ethereum Blockchain. Each Bao is totally unique and comes with different traits and attributes varying in rarity.
Partnered with Bao Society to design and build an immersive digital experience that captures the energy, humor, and personality of the brand while making complex Web3 concepts approachable and engaging.

Challenge:
Bao Society sat at the intersection of culture, entertainment, and Web3 — but needed a digital experience that could bring that hybrid identity to life. The challenge was to translate a collection of highly expressive, character-led NFTs into a cohesive product experience, while also educating users on unfamiliar concepts like tokenomics, staking, and roadmap progression.
Approach:
We approached the project as a world-building exercise — designing an experience that felt as vibrant and personality-rich as the Bao characters themselves. Drawing inspiration from manga, anime, and playful internet culture, we developed a highly interactive interface layered with motion, microinteractions, and unexpected moments of delight.
Results:
The final product delivered a standout experience in the Web3 space — one that resonated both visually and experientially. The site successfully translated the Bao Society brand into an interactive digital world, driving engagement and helping users better understand the project’s ecosystem. It was widely recognized within the design community, earning multiple industry awards including Site of the Day and Developer Award on Awwwards, as well as recognition from CSS Design Awards and Codrops. More importantly, the project established Bao Society as a differentiated presence in the NFT space — proving that thoughtful design and storytelling can elevate even highly technical platforms into something accessible, memorable, and culturally relevant.
